Some key pages

Average atmospheric temperatures vs. altitude and pressure. Frequently, only the altitude is shown, yet understanding pressure effects on temperature is of vital importance. This perhaps also shows a greenhouse effect mainly happening in the highly rarefied mesosphere and stratosphere.

The sidebar has pages for all levels of use. (+ToC) indicates a Tables of Contents page that also (+) has introductory notes. We try to make it user-friendly and accessible to both newcomers and experts on both sides of the debate. "Skeptics" statements are often set alongside "warmist" statements.

  • Vision Statement: "Like Pallas Athene, stepping forth armed and helmeted from the head of her father Zeus... this wiki has to come into the public realm well-prepared. Climate skeptics are under few illusions as to the depth of the corruption of Climate Science, and Science itself, with the dilution and loss of Scientific Method. This corruption has taken hold slowly, quietly, and widely, and with very understandable human dimensions..."
  • Editing rights: "Some aspects of this wiki may cause controversy. So... all points of view are heard, considered, and addressed in whatever ways appear to give maximum freedom of speech and science, both in quality and outreach."
  • Corruption, Opposition & Reform - the fight against widespread corruption & bad behaviour.
  • Controversies helps "free the debate" by answering the loudest claims of "global warming! it's our fault! we've got to act now!" first; then answers more and more "official" bad science in depth.
  • Deconstructing "Skeptical Science" is about deconstructing the mis-named warmists' key website Skeptical Science. This shows the extensive spread of bad science, demonization of CO2, etc, and undoes key faux "answers to skeptics' issues".
  • Why research?: "This wiki is breaking new ground in constructing a safe, supportive environment to share research, collect related material, clarify and test new concepts, and provide FAQ's in key controversial areas. ..." Explains why a protected section has been set up in this wiki.
  • Nikolov & Zeller primer - research that we believe is a game-changer for Climate Science. Don't believe or disbelieve: look, think, check the maths, and ask.
  • "Wiki blog": The Talk pages in the Blog: category are open for all to comment. Hopefully a real blog space will materialize, to replace this "placeholder" function.

  • Please contact us if you would like to help create this wiki. All bona fide "climate skeptics" including "lukewarmers" are welcome. Everyone can comment at the wiki blog talk page(s). We prefer to start with tighter restrictions which can be eased later. See Editing rights. We hope that climate skeptics will come to regard this as a project worth supporting, and a trustworthy source.
  • There is a category for sensitive and contentious research issues - those wishing to contribute will need extra permissions. These areas are protected to allow the science to be developed in relative peace by a few supporters, explained with FAQ's, and released in a pre-peer-review form that in time can be fully answerable to criticism.
  • Please read the main pages, which are set out to help the wiki grow. Use your User pages for anything of special interest to you in Climate Science.
  • We're still looking for Media-Wiki-friendly techies, and imaginative organizers.

Notes

  • Humour is a great resource. This isn't Wikipedia, and we are free to invent our own guidelines.
  • Pictures are very useful to quickly convey balanced, nuanced messages.
  • Think of this website as a gift to your grandchildren - to teach them the wonders of Climate Science, the tools of real Scientific Method, the importance of courteous discourse, the fun of Citizens' Science, and the lessons learned through standing up to the current corruption of Science, and fighting honourably to reclaim integrity.
  • Apologies for the unfortunate apparent necessity to use terms like "warmist" and "sceptic" / "skeptic". If anyone can improve the language, structure, style, policy here, please say! Thanks.
  • If you don't understand the science say so on the talk pages - and consider helping where you do understand. There is a lot of catching-up for all of us - this wiki has to educate and make good a generation's shortfall with regard to inadequate and biassed scientific education.
  • When you feel frustrated with climate orthodoxy, use that energy positively in contributions here!
